Chaga mushroom (Inonotus obliquus) is a type of mushroom that grows mainly on the bark of birch trees in cold climates. Chaga is a very woody mushroom that resembles a burnt tree burl vs a common-looking mushroom.
Our Chaga is sustainably foraged from the forests of Western Maine. Each bag includes 20 Chaga teabags of ground Chaga. Chaga has a really nice earthy flavor and a richness to it that is comparable in richness with black tea or light coffee. Many folks are using Chaga as a coffee replacement, and it is a lovely addition to Chai or on its own.
Directions: brew for 10-15 minutes
